Privacy & Cookie Policy

How DailyJob collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data, and how we use cookies.

1. Scope

This policy covers the DailyJob website and mobile app. DailyJob is operated by SoftenAI Global Private Limited. It explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.

Some data handling is specific to your role on the platform. This policy explains the detail that applies to each role.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following kinds of data:

  • Account data: your name, email address, phone number, and username.
  • Usage data: device details, log data, and information collected through cookies when you use the website or app.
  • Job poster data: payment details and records of your credit purchases and transactions.
  • Worker data: KYC documents (your identity verification records), a live selfie, and your bank account or UPI details for payouts.

This single policy covers both job posters and workers.

3. How we use data

We use your data to:

  • Operate the marketplace and connect job posters with workers.
  • Process credit purchases and worker payouts.
  • Verify identity through our KYC checks.
  • Detect and prevent fraud and automated abuse, including through device fingerprinting and bot detection.
  • Communicate with you about your account, tasks, and payments.
  • Meet our legal and regulatory duties.

4. Payment gateways

We share payment and payout data with the payment gateways we use, such as Razorpay, to process credit purchases and worker payouts. A gateway processes this data under its own privacy policy and applicable RBI regulations. We may add or change gateways at any time.

5. Bot and abuse prevention

We use Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to tell real people apart from automated scripts. It runs in the background across the site, and we check its result on the pages where an account is most at risk of attack: sign in, registration, password reset, and email verification.

To judge whether a request is genuine, reCAPTCHA collects device and browser details, your IP address, and how you interact with pages, and it sets its own cookies. This data is sent to Google, which returns a score telling us how likely it is that you are a real person. Google acts as our data processor for this: it may only handle the data on our instructions, under the Google Cloud terms and the Cloud Data Processing Addendum, and not for its own purposes such as advertising.

This check is essential to keeping accounts secure, so you cannot opt out of it. We use the score only to decide whether to allow or refuse an attempt, never to profile you.

6. Other sharing

We may also share your data with:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our systems.
  • Analytics providers that help us understand how the platform is used.
  • Law enforcement or public authorities when the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data.

7. One user's data never connects to another

We keep job poster data and worker data separate. Job posters never see a worker's KYC documents, selfie, bank account, or UPI details. Workers never see a job poster's payment records. Each side sees only what the marketplace needs to work: a display name, the job content or the submissions for it, and rating stats.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the platform and improve it. Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a site. We use both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your device for a set period).

You can opt out of certain third-party cookies through industry opt-out programmes:

8.4 Do Not Track signals

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature. There is no industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, and we do not respond to them at this time.

9. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. We keep transaction and KYC records for as long as Indian law requires, which is a minimum of 5 years for financial records. Where the law allows, we delete your data on request.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct data that is wrong or out of date.

11. Children

DailyJob is not for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

12. Security

15. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If you have any questions about this policy, email us at [email protected].
